Christine B. Mwendwa Nanua

Christine is an internationally experienced Chartered MCIPD HR professional and licensed career coach, committed to partnering with individuals as they build fulfilling careers and meaningful lives. With over 15 years’ experience across purpose-driven organisations such as UNICEF, UNDP, UNOPS, and the University of Oxford, she brings a strategic yet deeply human-centered approach to coaching.
An HR Consultant for UNICEF’s Senior Leadership Support Team, Christine conducts reference check evaluations for senior candidates, providing insight-driven assessments that inform high-level appointments. In addition, Christine serves as a coach and mentor for the CIPD Trust’s Bridging the Gap programme, where she supports individuals in the UK, who have been out of work for extended periods, to rebuild their confidence and successfully re-enter the workforce. She has also implemented and enhanced talent management and HR operations at the University of Oxford, aligning people strategies with institutional goals.
At UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen, Christine contributed to strategic recruitment, led the HR Centre’s Knowledge Management and Communications function, and oversaw its transition into a Digital Workplace. In Bangladesh, she supported emergency work through HR business partnering, individual coaching, and running a career development workshop. Earlier, at UNICEF’s Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) in Geneva, she played a key HR role in major restructuring initiatives, including during the transitioning of the in-house Cards & Gifts business to an external licensing model, rationalising the General Service staff functions, and leading inclusive talent sourcing campaigns. Across these roles, she consistently strengthened HR practices, refining onboarding and exit strategies, and updating divisional procedures and SOPs, such as those for staff recruitment and engagement & administration of consultants.
Christine’s coaching style blends deep self-exploration with purposeful action that supports clients to clarify their vision of a meaningful life and career. Whether navigating career transitions, refining job search strategies, or exploring meaningful life paths, she works with individuals so that they reconnect with their core values, harness their strengths, overcome self-imposed limitations, and develop personalised strategies for sustainable growth and authentic professional fulfilment.
